Ever been scammed on Getafreelancer?

So like an idiot I didn't wait for the escrow deposit to come through and started working on this mascot design (it was a small, easy, one-off job). I submitted a finished JPEG, small size but still usable.

The buyer then disappeared on me--hasn't contacted me in five weeks.

My question is, how do I leave negative feedback for the buyer? I know it's possible to leave feedback on incomplete projects because I've seen buyers with such feedback. I just can't figure out how to do it.

Anybody out there ever been in this situation before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can check out controls there, there would be feedback area, make use of it.

i naturally tried that obvious route, but GAF feedback is usually initiated by the buyer by declaring the project "finished". right now there are no options in my feedback controls to place feedback on an unfinished project. i know it can be done, i just don't know how.

You can't leave any feedback until u receive the payment through GAF.

Even if you receive the payment by other means, you can't leave feedback.

And the minimum amount to leave a feedback on a project must be 30.

If you receive USD 29.99, you can't leave a feedback.

Quite a few days back one of the most feedbacks maintaining freelancer got a project from me. It was an urgent one. He has agreed to finish it within 6 hours, which was really my deadline. But at the end of the 6th hour, suddenly he cancels the escrow and disappeared without saying any reason.

Then I've contacted GAF how to leave -ve feedback on that idiot.

But they clarified me there is no option. If I want, I've to open an another project and send him the money atleast 30 US$ and then only I can leave a negative feedback on him in order to spoil his reputation.

But that idiot wasted my most precious time and still he is wandering there with all his +ve feedbacks. I think he always take all the the projects but leave the projects without doing them if he cannot really do them on time.

sorry to see we're in the same boat.

but i have seen buyers on GAF with one-star feedback that read "awarded project to me and then disappeared" or something like that.

and if providers can do it, i'm pretty sure buyers can do it too.

I've checked with GAF many times. For sure as of now, can not.

If you've seen some buyers has got like that means, they agreed for the project first and the payment on many stages. Once they paid atleast 30 US$, then both of them can leave feedback without any trouble.
