    $300 isn't much at all.

Grow your site and make your site worth something... then reconsider spending only $300 to be listed in Yahoo's directory.

    no they wont.

yeah i think so. compare to adwords you paid like 30$/month (minimum google allows) it's already 360$ and you got not really your target marget everytime. If you paid 300$ to Yahoo and get better Ranking and more traffic it 's probably about the same.

yes yes yes. For sure if you get the link then $299 is nothing.

Only thing is if you dont get it ;)

So is wise to prepare well and then spend it to get some result ;)

The page I would get listed on has a good page ranking. And I hear you get loads of traffic from yahoo if your in the right categories. I don't submit to them cause 300 bucks is a lot to lose if they decide your not worthy of their directory. As for page ranking I can do better in other directories with same page ranking and lot less listings to share that PR.

But why I cannot just charge-back my credit card payment for yahoo catalog if yahoo rejects my site?

I am amazed at the amount of people who think there should be guarantees.

Not to many lawyers will guarantee anything yet you still pay them

    Guilty or not ;)

Do you know why people offer guarantees and warranties???

Research has found that they are not used 95% of the time. :D

If you have a good site why not just submit it through the none pay option?

From what I've read and the examples I've seen the $300 is such a small investment for the return you'll get in the SERP's. A link from the Yahoo Directory is just great, its one of the top directories you should be trying to get into.

A friend of mine has a name squeeze page listed in the Yahoo Directory, so the rules for admission can't be too harsh.

Also make sure the title of your site contains your keywords, Yahoo tends to use your Title instead of the link text you may specify. So if you're keyword text is "Banana Split" then you're best bet would be to call your site something like: Banana Split Palace - www.bananasplitpalace.com - Best banana splits in town!

No its not at all, its only a small price to pay for the long term results.
