Evaluate how i use adsense

i really haven't been focusing on adsense at all. Ever since the adwords change of pricing, adsense has dropped significanly (wasn't making much anyway). How can i better incorporate adsense into my pages. Yesterday, i went to most of my article pages and put some adsense on the top and bottom of the articles. Do you think this will help with conversions? Anyone have suggestions on how to better incorporate adsense without making the site look funny. I've seen plenty of sites where the adsense blocks take up a huge portion of an article and you don't even know there is more to read afterwards. I do not want this to happen.

    Please help

It looks good, but I doubt you'll have much of a click-through rate. You might want to try a to place it higher up, just beneath your links. Also for article sites, a good way would be to have a medium rectangle within the article text itself, or as a last resort place a 460x80 banner on the bottom of each content page, directly beneath the article.

You should also read the Adsense Optimization Tips Google offers, for some more ideas.

It seems you have two goals that conflict. You don't want ads in the readers face, but you want them to click on them. Problem is, users don't click on ads they don't see.

Put your ads to the most sacred parts of your webpage. Also, try to integrate it to your design as much as possible so it's hardly can be seen that it's a Google ad. People are trained to avoid clicks to obvious banners and ads. However, if you conceal your ads to your content, you have a great chance to get high CTR.
