Well, then, it might have 2 kind of democracy:
The one that we conceived, with pluralism recognition, free entreprise, freedom of speech
and the islamic view of democracy: where Muslims have difficulties to adopt a western democracy due to a deeply rooted authoritarian political culture, and a manipulated interpretations of the Qu'ran.

Don't forget it was under Franco occupation.
Try to say loud and clear "Viva America" in a Castro meeting in Cuba to see what happen...

Falange was Franco political party. Aznar was a member and still supports Franco and fascist ideology.

It is no surprise that fascists in this forum agree with fascists in other countries. ;)

    Well, if you say so...
We just don't share the same definition of fascists you and me, and that's all right...

I don't say so, Aznar himself says that he is falange and all the historian say that he is falange. Every one also agrees that falange is a form of fascism.
You must ask yourself, what is it in your belief system that makes the fascists your heroes? ;)

The word Heroes set a limit. I don't want a pass that limit.
I'd like to see an "integration law". Am I radical? Extreme? if yes, at what point? quite relative to me.

Have no fear GTech i'm sure you will be safe from the great muslim invasion of the world:rolleyes: Just keep praying to Jesus- not to God but Jesus.

If this so called 'invasion' by muslims is bothering you so much that its affecting your everyday life then why don't YOU do something about it? e.g create a christian invasion of the world.

What does "integration law" mean? What religions are permitted and what are forbidden? What type of clothes are permitted and what are forbidden? What kind of speech are permitted and what are forbidden?

America used to be a melting pot. When people came to the country they adapted to the way people behaved and acted here, taking on the norms here. They were free to keep religion, free to act as they wished within legal limits, and free to speak as they chose. Why did they integrate? Because it was expected of them, no matter where they went, they were expected to integrate into the american way of life. Of course they kept a large portion of their culture. They kept family ties, usually religion, and when some of their customs were wonderful enough that the person couldn't help but be proud of them and let them show, perhaps inviting neighbors to participate, parts of their culture were infused into that of all Americans.

America was the cultural borg. The biological and cultural distinctiveness of other nations was added to our own. But we were still integrated.

For a time, America became a stew pot. People from all over came, and they kept most aspects of their own culture, but they allowed themselves to adapt to the place they were coming to call their home, adopting the best of the other cultures around them.

At the moment, America is becoming more a big pot that people just get tossed into, and it never gets blended, stirred, or cooked to mix things up, and I think because of that we're loosing what has made this nation great.

It strikes me that some similar things are occurring in Europe.

    None and all.
Like immigration laws in the past, what nationalities are permitted and what are forbidden. None and all. But it
s the law to follow. Why this Italian was refused and why this Brasilian admitted? They both can migrate, following the immigration laws, and for a case to case application, a decision is taken.
It may be the same thing for a integration law.
Let's assume a minaret is built next to your neighborhood, and every four hours, the muezzin calls the fidels for prayers, via speakers, like it happened in some Belgian cities in the past (After a while, a new law prohibit that in Belgium, making it a discrimination law?). Will it be ok for you? for others? Is it integration to do that in the middle of a US city? A French city?
I think though, at the time of setting up immigration laws, people with differents thoughts debatted on them as we do now...
Who ever was right or wrong, these laws passed, and for a reason.
We might be in need of new laws...
    Integration laws may minimize discrimination.
Aren't the US trying to minimize discrimination by integrating whatever may be a discrimination problem?
Fair Housing laws, fair mortage laws, etc...for Black people having the same chances than white people, which was not the case years ago...

It's pretty funny, they have far more than a reasonable amount of influence over politics now, in 20 years they'll be running the world no doubt, that is if there's any world left to rule, and one of them hasn't demolished it for thier almighty already.

A much more practical approach would be to just ban religion altogether, it's pretty obvious we can't live together with it and the only other choice ( that is for those of use that want to stay alive and sin ) is to live together without it, which would suit me down to the ground, religion is a load of rubbish anyway.

I can believe it, all started out as political correctness, and is fast going towards political wrongness ....

I say if you want to live by the Islamic culture then fuck off to a country that is geared towards it, and leave the rest of us to live in peace .....

PC currently stands for Political Crap. I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

And if you want to live by Islamic culture? That's fine as far as I'm concerned... within the bounds of the law. But you can't force it on me, or anyone else. If I own a dog, you can't beat it to death because it rubbed it's butt against the fence separating our properties (Especially if I own said fence). If someone else doesn't want to live according to muslim customs, you can't beat them to death for it either.

If my wife isn't wearing a veil, and you sneer at her or deride her while you're in my store, I have the right to revoke the privilege of entrance I granted at you, and tell you to get the heck out. If I don't want a given person in my store, I can tell them to get the heck out. Is it good business? No. But as long as my telling a person to get out does not cause them any direct harm, I haven't impinged on their rights at all. However, as my building is on property I lease from the government, I may be breaking laws regarding my conduct on their land if I don't have a good reason to tell someone to get out. Like, say, the shop is closing.

So your big speech about "integration law", is nothing more than what already exist, right? You have nothing special to suggest, do you?

In regard to minaret, you don't need a special law to forbid that, every city has regulations regarding the level of noise that is permitted and no one should be allowed to go over those limits, independent if it is Muslim prayer, Church bells or latest music from nearby disco. ;)

Are you upset that I exposed your heroes as the fascists that they are? I don't understand why do you get upset with the name fascist since this is just a word that describes you and your friends ideology. ;)

Anticipated response from gworld, had it typed out before he could actually respond:

So let's compare your response here, to this image, with the response you made when ferret posted an image here, and what your response was when Northpointaiki addressed it.

Imagine that. Two entirely different responses over basically the very same thing by someone who claims to be an atheist. Something smells fishy here and this time it's not your backside, gworld ;)

Oh, it exists already? ok, if you say so...
So my wife does not have to leave her tchador for her license picture, right?
Integration is necessary. More and more people see as an offense a lack of integration, like spanish people who can't and do not want to speak english in the US...

How do you know? Can you tell me a bit more about regulations in...let's say...Liege? Is this city included in your "every city" ?

I lived for awhile in Antwerp and I know that they have it. ;)
It is a common sense that any city has bylaws regarding the noise level since it is a common problem that can be caused by many things including construction. Do you know that Liege doesn't have it and if this is the case, isn't much easier to make the issue the noise level which can be applied to all kind of noise including construction, Restaurants and bars instead of making it about religion and race?
