Now that we reached the semis, and the old poll was missing 2 of the 4 semi-finalists, and we have yet 3 days for the first match, i thought it'd be a good idea to revise the poll. The semi finals will be: Wednesday 25: Germany - Turkey Germany is the favourite, but will Turkey defend their unofficial title for the tournament, "the Comeback Kings", and surprise everyone once again, or are the Germans going to secure their place for the final? Thursday 26: Russia - Spain Spain seems to be the favourite, however, Holland was no less of a favourite against the Russians until yesterday, will it be Torres and his friends or will it be Arshavin's side who make their way to the finals? I want Spain to win, and I think Spain will win... Coach was poor bringing Torres off today! Bad decisions, I hope they don't lose due to his judgement, and poor tactics as this would be a shame. Saying that however Russia are a good team, from all of their games they really look like a good footballing team, with their passing and movement. Arshavin looked great the other night, would be good if Liverpool bought him rather than Gareth Barry who is a waste of time and money... Germany always look like getting to the final no matter who or how they play, they have a strong defence and a good mentality. They are not HYPE like HOLLAND or PORTUGAL who are full of fancy pansys who cannot perform at the crucial times. As for Turkey, who would bet against them. I was a neutral the other night yet I was running around the room when they equalized the other night!! Spain's players look as though they want to win, which is good to see. I think Holland lacked this mentality, they didn't seem as though they wanted it, players like Van De Faart, and red lips Van Persie were terrible a shame for there great fanbase, really was. So come on Spain, come on Torres, let's play Reina Arbeloa, Alonso also just because they play for Liverpool
My vote goes to Russia: solid team, great players and a hell of a coach. They will win the Euro 2008.
Well I think Germany would lift the Euro Cup. I was looking for Italy Vs Germany final since day-1 and but now it will not be happen so I would be fancy with Germany Vs Russia in final.
spain won today pretty interesting game, I cant wait to see germany play, they got 2 polish forwards .
So I am since I was hoping for good performance from them but I have to give full credit to Russia who work hard put 2 goals in extra time. Do they stop Spain in Semi?
My vote is for Germany.They have beaten Portugal in quarterfinals so I think they have great chance to win the EURO 2008.
