    Entertaining match indeed.

There just isn't one blatant favourite at all is there. None are really impressive/outstanding at all. Should mean an exciting week of football left!

What a match for England tonight!!! Well played Rooney. I'm afraid I'm one of those Scots that hates to see England win lol but they played well tonight.

    Roony is a genius...

    WHAT A PLAYER!!!!!

Amazing, I bet Everton raise the price to 60,000,000

Even though they have stated that "he is not for sale"...

    Well, good on you Roony...

18 years old and the most wanted player in football... What a player.

Add 10 million after each goal he scores I reckon.

If only I bought some Rooney shares a few years ago, I could cash in big time with his up and coming IPO. :d

An England fan got stabbed to death in Portugal by a Croatian this early morning.

    I can forsee mayhem!

'Lucky' it wasn't a Portuguese coz with Thursday's match that would have guaranteed problems.

According to BBC news it could have been a Portuguese guy trying to pick pocket the guy.

We'll probably get more news later on.

What's the point? Someone got killed. And with the British fans' reputation, it is likely they will get their revenge. I hope I'm wrong though, wouldn't want to see the team sent home by UEFA for misbehaviour of the fans.

Hopefully it was just an incident on its own, not related to the tournament.

    Here's the link btw. FYI

Some papers now say the guy was Ukranian instead of Croatian.

Whoever it was, I'm unfortunatly going to agree with you...

The UK reputation denotes that there will be some kind of revenge attack...

It is soooo embarrasing to be from the UK when the football is on...

Some people are just stupid louts and need to have a fight to try and stimulate the few brain cells they have remaining...

Aaah you meant 'What's the point' as in, again a stupid thing happened... I thought you said to me like 'Who gives a $hit'.

Well, after reading some more it does look like it's not football related at all, just bad luck and some idiot thief going mental. So hopefully they keep their cool and just be the 12th man we need against Portugal!

As I stated before, I still France is the team to beat. Henry scoring 2 goals to finish the game may just be the breakout needed to go forward. My heart is still with the English team which, in my mind, faces a significant uphill battle.

As for the stupid things happening, I noticed some of the England (Man Utd) fans at the Champions League match between Man Utd and Juventus last summer in New York/New Jersey trying to constantly stir up trouble. The antagonistic attitudes were a distraction to the game and I'm still not quite sure of their purpose.

In all fairness, I must state that this was a small minority of the England fans and should be realized as such. It would be very interesting to learn if this relates to just "hoodlums" in general or if there is an "English chip on the shoulder" sort of thing going on. No, I'm not trying to pick a fight. I ask only to learn which is the general reasoning behind the forums. IMHO.

Your guess is as good as mine...

Bunch of Ars*holes if you ask me...

Like you say, not everyone who lives in the UK and is a Football fan acts this way, I just have no time for those prats who give the sport a bad name.

I just want to add that the Scottish fans reputation is one of the best.

It's a minority of English people that cause problems for the England fans. I wouldn't regard those English people as England fans because they wouldn't disrespect their country like that if they were fans.

Anyway, that's my political viewpoint for the day :)

Back to web design stuff now...

What does everyone think about the new FIFA rulings that will take place during the Euro 2004 regarding cards for pulling up shirts after scoring?

Considering how difficult it is to score a goal and how seldom it occurs, I think they should let it go a bit. IMHO.

Some people take their time celebrating almost to the extend of completely stopping the game. That can be annoying. And considering there's no women playing, I'd say " Keep ur shirts on!"
