Portugal  From what I've seen they will be lucky to get thru the next round.

I've got to be patriotic and say England but to be honest, I don't see one team that stands out above the rest.. all of the teams in this years EURO2004 are beatable even Italy.

Agreed, although Swedens 5 - 0 win was pretty impressive.

    Larsson just couldn't stay away.

    Why France?

They sucked against England and yesterday against Croatia.

Henry and Trezeguet haven't scored internationally for 9 months (!!!) apparently and they only rely on Zidane. Against England they benefitted from two dreadful mistakes (donky Hesky's stupid tackle causing the free kick and David James stupid decision to NOT go head first attacking that striker with the penalty). His positioning with the free kick was debateble too so nothing positive for the French apart from keeping believing and actually converting those given opportunities.

England has got a better team than France IMO.

But I have to say, no team looks like they are in top form so it could be anyone.

I'm hoping for a England - Holland final.

I reckon France play very well as a team. Once they get going they will be unstoppable. Although they have been playing badly they have still managed to be top of the table.

It's going to be very interesting this year with no-one really dominating so far.

I don't really see any team as a clear favorite at this time.
Sweden is probably the only team to have really impressed so far, but I doubt they have what it takes to win the whole tournament.

While I am Norwegian, English football has always been special to me, so I would love to see England win...

Yes and the Dutch would have loved that our manager being a German. I dunno why we have a German manager with Scotland having managers such as Alex Ferguson, Alex McLeish, Gordon Strachan etc.

I wish they'd played Desailly against England. Rooney and Owen would have walked all over them I think!

Owen hasn't scored internationaly in his last 90 hours of play...

Roony would have had a pretty good go though...

That guy is going to be AMAZING in 2 years time...

He just doesn't take any crap...

Not only is Wayne good in representing his country football wise... He has the looks too! :)

When is he gonna cut down on the rotting flesh they sell at Maccy D's?

He is wicked though, Shearer style yet prolly better.

Wonder where he'll play after the summer...

I reckon Stevie G is probably the best England player we have seen for a long time.

I'm biased though as a Liverpool fan. ;)

The UK team I support is Wycome Wanderers (I'm local - there would be no other reason than that really would there ; )

Roony could play anywhere he wants... That guy has got the know how and attidude to go far...

Not too sure about the looks but he plays reallly well.

Next beckham in terms of skill I reckon...

BTW out of interest, how many of you US guys have heard of David Beckham?

Although I follow England a bit (Man Utd mostly), I believe France is still the team to beat. As far as Beckham, I agree with Sir Alex...

Henry is a dangerous striker and has the support for a breakout game at any time. IMHO.

Liverpool fan here as well! :)

Hopefully Owen will start scoring again REALLY soon.

I would love to see Sweden and Denmark go on to the next round beating out Italy...

Dreadful refereeing in the Holland match. Dreadful back pass and dreadful substitute too.

That ref though shouldn't show his face on any tournament ever again. Talking about penalties... Jeeeeeezz!

I know Van the Man can be a bit of a diver but being held with both arms of that defender he couldn't even do that!
