    Hello,

I bought last year an eu domain for a company , in my country ( Romania )

In 28 december the domain was suspended by eurid.eu but I found out only now 2 days ago. The website could not be accessed anymore, I though it's my hosting company but it wasn't , the other sites ware ok, then called GoDaddy after speaking few minutes with a guy he told me that he passed the problem to tech guys and the problem will be fixed shortly, in the mean time while I was waiting on the phone I searched a bit on google and found eurid.eu , than searched my domain there and the result was the big surprise.

    The domains is suspended
    Last change 28 december 2006
    Status : QUARANTINE
    FREE : 6 february 2007

Than I told this to the godaddy guy, he didn't know this :( ( in the godaddy admin panel I have this domain status : Active . Locked ) .

Godaddy guy told me that I should contact eurid.eu for fixing the problem .

I sent an email to eurid and now it's the second day and I didn't get any answer :(

Anybody here knows what I should do ?

    Any help will be appreciated.

no, the domain has only ~20 pages and it is an Rromanian company presentation . The company has construction activities in our country.

I belive the problem is that we registered the domain using name and address of a friend from AUS, but using my godaddy account because we could not register eu domains now few months ago, now Romania is in EU so there should be no problem with us.

I found that link too which explain the quarantine, theoretical I could be able to reactivate this domain if I will speak with them and only after those 40 days, if I will do nothing the domain will be released for new registrations.

Stupid me .. I can't belive that I did not found the phone numbers :( my bad.

I called Godaddy , so I don;t think they opened any ticket

I will call them now and let you know what happenet.

Look it is simple. You tried to scam them by buying a domain you were not entitled to have. Plain and simple. YOU HAD NO RIGHTS to that domain as you were not in the EU at the time.

I know it sounds harsh, but the procedures are there to protect EU businesses from this very thing from happening.

yes, you are wright but the domain name was bought for a company with exactly the same name as the domain ( a company from romania ) and I didn't bough houndreds of domains wishing to sell them after overpriced, it was just one but rules are rules...

it is a bit weird why only now the domain was suspended and not after I bought it ?

It is the same with adsense, they check you out just before they pay you out. I agree it is TOTALLY skiddish for them to do it to you knowing you would be eligable within weeks, but I think there may be some speculators involved. They might have checked them out reported you, and will be looking to buy your domain and sell it back to you at a greatly increased rate :(

Good luck in getting it back. Might I suggest though that you put in writing your interest. people can not deny a letter taking place, and registering your situation will help any case you might take up with reagrd securing/regaining your domain.
