EU Anti-SOPA Registrar

    Hi

I have a bunch of domains registered with GoDaddy. As they have come out in support of SOPA I want to transfer them.

Can anyone recommend an EU based registrar who does not take down a domain without first consulting a customer? I'm looking for a Domain registrar with the same attitude towards frivolous takedown notices as CyberBunker or PRQ.

I don't actually have any 'dodgy' sites myself but I just don't want to run the risk of being taken down by a competitor emailing my registrar in a post-SOPA world.

    Thank for any suggestions!

    Hello,

Your mis-informed on how SOPA works.. if it passed and someone complained then anyone from USA wouldn't be able to access your site no matter which registrar you are with.. GoDaddy however is horrible for supporting it, so you can follow like most people are and transferring to Namecheap (use coupon code "SOPAsucks" for a discount)

Hover, Name, NameCheap, and DreamHost dont support SOPA or PIPA.

While SOPA is out, Godaddy is still supporting the evil sister PIPA which is strong in Senate now. Yikes!

Try gandi.net (France), they're also opposing SOPA and have a deal to transfer domains to them (check their blog).

try rebel.com - they have good prices and are based in Canada - it is nice idea to leave US jurisdiction as they try many times to attack domains and freedom of information. I myself have 16 domains with GOD addy which I made up my mind to transfer to rebel.com
