Hello everyone, I am very interested in this new Etsy Clone website that is built to work like etsy located here: http://etsyclone.com/ I am hesitant to purchase it because I have no clue about copyright or any other legal issues and trouble I could get into. Do you think it is safe to have such a website? Any help or insight on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! -Mike
It's the same creators of CloneForest. I would HIGHLY recommend staying away. I purchased the Clone Forest $450.00 version with full source. The script was full of bugs and they were unwilling to fix them. Instead, they kept rolling out with different platforms for their software to make more profits, but never fixed the exisiting bugs or added new features for the current platforms (we bought a theme marketplace, they made a graphic marketplace, ebook marketplace, etc) (They also own a cloneforest review site which made their script look more legitimate) They used to have a forum, but removed it as soon as customers began talking about their lack of support, communication, and updates. They promised monthly updates at least. It has been 10 months and they finally released a new version (which is also buggy). If you want to save time and frustation, I recommend staying far away from those people, no matter how nice their sales pages are.
Hello i can not agree with you Dragoon. All scripts are working perfectly. Cloneforest have brand new version with allot of new features.
Hi, I'm Fer, I'm looking to buy the script Getzy, but still do not know what to do, you bought it? okay? the demo does not give me much confidence. a greeting my English is a little bad I'm from Spain thanks in advance
Yes the only one and ultimate script for selling physical goods is getsy.info and you can purchase it from http://etsyclone.com
Etsy holds many copyrights in terms of their layout. It's difficult to say. Yes, clone sites can be successful, until the copied site actually NOTICES them, and then slaps them. One possible suggestion would be to purchase the base, and then modify it to your own unique style and niche.
There is no legal issue with buying "clone" scripts unless there is a patent or the code was stolen from the original site. Most of the time that is not the case. The clone scripts are just usually garbage that do just enough to get people to think they are good until they buy them and find out all the limitations. Check out the script well first.

Not a good marketing strategy from technoduce. No Demo. Snapshots look just like Etsy with another logo. No price. I believe the price is well over $2500. No thanks.
The pricing is crazy for that script such as "professional installation" fees. While I might be interested in this script and others they offer, I'm most concerned about it working. One company beginning with an "A" that sells clones has a terrible reputation for being buggy. I don't see a demo here... I am curious. Why are you selling? When did you buy it?
I purchased the script in in March 2013. I was able to install the script myself (not a technical guru). It seemed to work as expected...but I didn't have the time to really experiment with it. I know there are lots of upgrades/patches (between the time I purchased up to now) so I do believe they are upgrading/fixing issues as they come up. Last update was: Date added: 27/12/2013. There is a front/back end demo at: http://etsyclone.com/getsy-etsy-clone-demo I initially purchased it for a Etsy like environment for handmade jewelry. Just never had the time to get this going as I got into the development of smart phone applications. Between this...and moving across the country...and trying to raise my 5 year old daughter...I just don't have the time.
I hear you. It happens. I've just never seen anyone use it and I'm wary any time it involves a billing and payment model. The back end of the script I tried didn't work (couldn't login). Thanks for offering. I'll probably need to see working examples before I'm ready to purchase although some others may be more adventurous.
To avoid any frauds, it is best to use the original site for purchases. The even give 10% discount on subscribing for the newsletter, if that helps.
Depends what you call "good". Etsy is a million dollar site. You won't get anything close unless you spend about $600-1,000 to buy one of the ecommerce scripts that offers private stores. I wouldn't even touch anything below that whenever I deal with security issues such as money transactions.
