And what about SiteFinder.com, what could I use that for? Thought about a search engine/directory but ya know, so many of those exist already and no one's gonna use that over Google anyway. Josh
You can sell them to me and I'll think of something lol Hmm.. etags.com Web 2.0 extracts relevant data from all web 2.0 sites matching tags. Example: cars Can extract flickr pictures, youtube videos, google se results, etc... Web 2.0 site etags.com - place where people can create tags about anything. Example: games People add all sorts of stuff they can associate with 'games' and they can associate other tags to it.
eTags sounds like that system where things arent categorized. They are instead tagged by keywords. You can create a directory where people upload links into keywords instead of concrete categories. You could also create a site that analyses the keyword tagging system (becoming very popular in the online classifieds sector). Or a user based site where people tag images for fun; like that google image labeling game (http://images.google.com/imagelabeler/). you should have a link to that game. on different tangent, eTag could promote TAG BRAND DEODORANT SPRAY. Could be a good keyword match and get good results in google. OR EVen better: a grafitti Tagging site. Upload pictures of Tags. Rate Tags. insert your Text Tags. Ascii Tags are cool. hope this helps. i like the grafitti idea best i think. i need those live links and signatures activated already
SiteFinder.com ... hmmm. sounds like a search engine BIG TIME. make it a dating site comparison for people that arent sure where to join. rss bot to get latest members. compare prices and features. sounds super crappy i know, but dating sites are really freaking popular. (i think it made me think of adultfriendfinder for a second) another idea... think of the Im Feeling Lucky button on google... Your site only has that button. people enter a search term and click enter; get a top ranking site from a search engine and display that one (no results). Users have a frame where they can rate the site and a new site on the same topic appears. Users can systematically rate sites for hours like they do on hot or not. oh man thats bad. lol. jee man, SiteFinder is so generic its like nuts (literally). Find a really popular keyword on the net and tailor the site to it. or hey even better, a not so popular keyword so you can get top ranking. but youll get less visitors and less money. wait, which way does it go again? quebec hydro works wonders for me
Thanks for the suggestions guys. Very creative thoughts on etags.com. Hadn't thought of most of those. Josh
