Website Description

What is this website? This website runs a simple (customized) script that has a compiled list of free TV channels from around the world. The list of channels is huge, and new channels can be added easily. There is some work involved on a daily basis (probably about 30 minutes a day) but the results are impressive!

Earning: Primarily from adsense. The ads are placed strategically around the video (and sometimes on the video). Keep reading for details on adsense/ads. Exact income given below.

How is it advertised and promoted? Although some of this information is confidential (except of course for the new owner of the website), the basics will be shared. We have a partnership (in the sense that we provide them certain services, and they help us by linking to us) with a very well known site in this field who link back to us - allowing us to get over a million views every month. This is where work is involved, probably from about 30-45 minutes a day. Each day (or if you cannot daily, then every other day....the amount of work you do is completely proportional the number of views / income you'll generate) we update a certain pages of the site, notify our partner (through email), and they link back to the certain / specific page. This link back is where we get most our views. More details can be discussed about this aspect through PM/Email. In general though, it is nothing complicated. The procedure is documented in a PDF which the winner of this bid will receive, along with all the other documentation.

Why am I selling this, and why for so less? I have owned this website for a year and have worked VERY hard on it. However, the main issue I just came across recently is that adsense got disabled for this domain. The reason that adsense was disabled was that Google policies do not allow users to place ads (in the form of an iframe) on videos. This is similar to the Youtube ads. This is the structure we had on our website but just got an email from Google explaining the violation and hence we cannot use adsense on it anymore. I can guarantee that there are a lot of other ways to monetize this website (examples include adbrite, clicksor, affiliate programs, cpa-lead, etc) but I do not have the time to try out other platforms and monetize this accordingly. I have earned enough from this business to move on to other areas which are more related to my field, and I have decided that is what I'm going to do. I have documented other ways that this site can be monetized, but I would expect that the buyer interested in such a website will already have a plan to monetize this site (other than adsense).

How much maintenance is needed? How much work? The website itself does not need any work to run.However, to keep the income running (and growing), marketing/promotion does need work - and this is where the 30 minutes/day come in. The promotion involves communicating with our partner site (just a short email on a daily basis), adding a channel to our "Sponsored page" (easy, takes 5 minutes, documented in the PDF that winner of this bid receives), and that's it.

Server Costs: The website is run on a dedicated server which has a base cost of $200, but the main charges come from the bandwidth charges (depends on visitors). The "Daily updated sponsored channel" is run on the same server, which causes high bandwidth usage. This usually costs about $150-$250 /month, depending on usage. All information is documented in the PDF (that the winner of this bid will receive) and step-by-step instructions are included to do all the work needed to run and maintain this website.

Please read my description. As I said, adsense on this site is now disabled. That was my source of income. With other ad-networks, you are probably going to get about half the money - but that too you have to experiment and then make the change.

Main reason I'm selling it is because I cannot use adsense on this anymore. I have much bigger projects to worry about, and I do not have the time to implement (apply, strategize, etc) alternatives to adsense.

This is a HUGE setback for me. As I said, I will verify everything for serious buyers.

While the script that runs this site is extremely common (I sell it myself and use it on a couple of sites), you've done an amazing job customizing a clean look and database (which is the biggest hassle with this script).

Nice stats too! Would the buyer be able to simply take over the server costs without moving the site?
