Today, I am putting a great Wallpaper website up for sale.

Let me start by saying that, this website has been my hobby for more that a year. For me it was a place to share my wallpaper collection with my friends. It is actually my first website which I did to learn few things. It was not a money making project for me & I did everything to keep it that way.

Lately I have been extremely busy with my studies as well as with my other projects. I am not able to do anything for this site since March 2007 and its working on it’s own from the past two & half month. Finally, I have decided to let it go and concentrate on my other projects (mainly my web directory) as I am really getting into directory stuff.

The site is a Strong PR4 site and has lots of internal PR3 pages. (All categories pages are PR3 and even some wallpaper detail pages are also PR3) Because of the site niche, PR may not be an important factor but I wanted to mention it to let you know it is well established site and Google loves it.

The site comes on first 3-5 pages on Google for more than a dozen famous wallpaper search terms. More than 50,000 backlinks as of yahoo.

Traffic Info
The site was getting around 1k-1.5K unique users per day in Jan, Feb & March. After that, due to lack of my input, the traffic dropped and now it’s almost 700-900 unique a days. Around 30-35 % users are coming form Google & around 50-55% are coming from our referrals. (Partner sites)

Hosting Details
The site is hosted as an add-on domain to my current shared hosting account. I can & I will provide detail statistics to any serious buyer here. I am not using cPanel so can not provide stand alone statistics for this sites. But you can get the idea from Jan-Feb-March statistics as by that time, my primary domain was not functional.

The site will work with out problem on a descent shared host but if you have a low end VPS, it will be perfect. The bandwidth usage will be around 1GB per day but that will certainly increase with your efforts. The site does uses a bit of SQL resource so your shared hosting must a decent one.

Site Transfer
You must move this site to your host before 25th of this month. I will help you with transfer as well as with 4images installation & making sure its working fine. But you MUST download all wallpapers and upload them to your own account. That will be around 100 folders within one folder and around 2GB in size. (due to my slow net speed I will not able to move them, so you must transfer wallpapers yourself)

How to get Maximum Profit from this site
Well, there are few things that you can do to maximize your revenue from this site without changing anything.
1) Use Popup/popunder ads.
2) Use affiliate programs such as Adultfriendfinder, webcam, live shows, screensavers etc.
3) Sell advertising space.

This site has a lot of potential to grow and can be a much greater success if you can give it sometime and change/add few things.
1) I have got tons of requests to add celebrity wallpapers but I haven’t mainly because I don’t have any disk space left with current account.
2) With a bit of SEO work such as adding description & keywords to each category, you can increase traffic in days. (inbuilt script function but I didn’t get the time to use it)
3) You can add videos and screensavers of celebrities using affiliate programs.

You can increase your revenue from $100 a month to $300 a month (or even more) by spending some time and adding more content to it.
