Would an appraisal be possible for established sites - more based on reputation and stats than the number of letters / words in the domain name itself? If the time is right, I am interested in starting a new venture and opening an office with any proceeds. The software downloads site is fairly usable and has over 70,000 software titles listed. There are around million of dynamically created / related pages based off of this content alone. The site really is starting to make a nice weekly revenue from the ads and affiliate software sales. The main parts of the site are PR 4, and there are over 320,000 Google indexed and 160,000 Yahoo indexed pages; also, it is well established and indexed. I would seriously consider offers (PM system). Google Analytics daily traffic stats have it at around 1,370 visitors per day. The domain is : BetterWindowsSoftware.com
how much is current revenues for the month ? it could be low xx - mid xxx anywhere lot depends on the domain name, revenues and keywords targeted.
Anyway, the AdSense used to average $150/month - and lately it is at $210. There are several dedicated ad spaces sold for $10/month each (currently only two of these) as well as an average of $40/month for affiliate commissions on software sales. Each month the revenue is more than the last - still growing at a pretty good rate. If it means anything to the valuation, the Alexa rank is currently 166,000 (ironically, I am not rounding off to the nearest thousand this time). It is easy to see that it has been growing somewhat - but could be leveling off a bit now. Not 100% sure what you mean by how targeted the keywords are for the site. The pages all have their own title / description / keywords based on the content. The difficult question is to pin down which keyword target I might look at a for rankings?
