I started this site on November 13th 2006 or so. I am selling due to not having enough time to give it the care it deserves. I have not spent a cent on advertising.

This site is very popular. I have done all the hard work of submitting to various proxy directories etc - this is a painful and needed chore that has been removed for the buyer.

I will give the new owner a very valuable piece of info on how to boost the traffic Hugely (which you may already know if you own a number of proxy sites). I will only tell the winning buyer this in order to avoid other proxy owners doing this.

I recently changed the site's design to push the actual proxy URL browsing screen to a second page to increase CTR - which it has.

The site can still be linked from proxy.org for an easy traffic boost (the proxy alive test over there removed proxypass.net 3-4 weeks ago when my server was down for a day - I'm so busy with other stuff I can barely keep up). Easy to add back, requires sending an email to proxy.org owner.

You will need a VPS or above to run ProxyPass. I can recommend a great, cheap VPS supplier for this if required (used to run there). Shared hosting won't cut it.

The site is up.. never down

 

The Very Large majority of traffic is from the US.

Second is "unknown"

Third is China.

Fourth is Australia.

If it seems "down", it's due to server load. I run three very popular proxies on this one "lower-end" server.

Please check again at a later time when all the school kids aren't bypassing school blocks

You can run this proxy on a $10 per month VPS without control panel software (meaning your a linux + apache guru), or $40 with cPanel (at the hosting place I'll recommend to the winner)
