    http://www.travelwalk.net/ (it has always been PR 7 since a while back)
    Age of domain: Near 3 years and out of sandbox 2 years ago.
    This site can target any travel search terms cuz I was ranking it in ultra competitive top ten words for "travel japan" in google a year ago.

    I haven't done much (search ranking wise) to the site since a year ago when it peaked. I kind of "ran out of steam" since then...

    he says in his original post he didn't have time to monitor the forums, when you leave a forum open for a lenght of time with no activity it gets put on a list apperently as a "dead" forum. The spammers will hit it hard to try and get backlinks via the search engines because most older sites have been spidered and are spidered pretty nicely by the bots (google, msn, yahoo, etc)
