Established Free/Paid Web Host with Excellent Potential

To make time for other projects I have decided to see off my free/paid web host, CorvusHosting.

CorvusHosting is a cPanel host that offers both free and paid hosting options. Free hosting is not based on a post-2-host system; anyone can signup provided that they supply a justified reason why they need free hosting and that the order can pass a Maxmind fraud check. I have not been taking new free signups since last December because I don't have the time to verify new accounts and provide support.

There are currently 200 active accounts including 2 paid accounts and a handful of domain registrations with an estimated annual income of $312.93.

The site also has a fairly inactive vBulletin forum running a paid style and also vbAdvanced CMS. The vBulletin and BigRed style licenses will be INCLUDED if the bid reaches $500. The client control panel is WHMCS which is an OWNED/Branding-Free license which will be INCLUDED if the bid reaches $750.

Domain Registration is done through DirectI; I will be including the $7.99 reseller account that contains the domains which were registered through WHMCS as well.

Everything is hosted on a colo4jax server which can be taken over if desired since I have moved all of my projects to our in-house data center. If you wish to move the sites to your server,I would be happy to provide root access to facilitate easy WHM account transfers.

With the 200 client sites the server is extremely underutilized, if you want to take it over the specs are:

Cost is $180/month. Colo4Jax has been an excellent, reliable hosting partner with great support. You don't have to take over the server, you can move the clients to yours! Buyer will have until April 15th to move the sites.

Ignore the server costs, you could easily use a cPanel reseller account or VPS to host these 200 client sites. The server which is obviously overkill in this situation was my main server for the past few months. I was hosting many of my other sites there up until about a week ago.

I just launched our own in-house datacenter within the two weeks and have moved all of our sites off of the array of dedicated servers and VPS's that we have been renting for the past 5 years.

The server is merely an option for those who may also be in the market, which is why I'm willing to give root access for those who wish to move to their server/vps.

I understand that revenue could be improved with ads on sites hosted for free, but I have been reluctant to do that. With that in mind, I am willing to take an opening bid of just $50.

You can take over the server if you'd like, but it's overkill for a site of this size. A 30GB reseller account should be more than suitable and affordable.

 

One hosting customer is monthly, the other is annual. There are 8 domain customers who are annual as well.
