Established Dog Leash E-Commerce Site - Avg $275 p/m profit

After several weeks of not having any extra time to run this business, I have decided to sell. The business sells a new design dog leash. What’s great about this leash, is that it has 9 different functions, so it stands out from other dog leash’s. The pet industry is huge and dog owners love spending money on their dogs. This business has been around for a couple of years, but I just took it over last October.

Inventory:

I have approximately 500 leashes left which sell for $15 or $20 (small or large size) which are included in the sale. That’s about $7,500 to $10,000 in retail inventory. I will include the sources where you can continue to buy the leashes at an incredible rate, which will all be disclosed to the new buyer. The person I work with is very easy to deal with.

Revenue:

I didn’t get the website shopping cart online until January, so I will post all screen shots of the sales. Since January, the site has made $1260 in sales. So its been averaging around $275 a month in profit. I have also sold these at pet shows and conventions and have made almost $2,000 in one weekend. I am including a 6 foot banner and display cards.

Expenses:

I currently have the site hosted for free at freehostia.com which seems to handle the site just fine. I don’t have a lot of knowledge about advertising, but currently only advertise on craigslist. Someone that has good seo skills could definitely increase sales by spending some money on advertising. There is so much opportunity for growth, I’m just not sure how to do it. I purchased a couple of links and have gotten a PR2 ranking.

Traffic:

Traffic fluctuates with my advertising on craigslist. I have had extreme tracking on there sicne the end of December so you can see the stats.

Questions:

This is my first sale of this kind so please let me know if there is anything I have left out. I will definitely be available for help by email for as long as the new owner needs. The reason I am selling is because I lack the knowledge to grow the site, and have gotten very busy with my job. I would love to see someone take this site to the next level.

Buyer will be responsible for shipping costs of remaining inventory, which should be around $400-$500.

I am in no hurry to sell the site and refuse the right to sell unless I am satisfied. I have this listed in other places as well.
