    I need to get rid of this website, because I don't work on it. I intended to do some SEO work and rank for some lower-end credit terms like "credit building" or "build good credit" which are fairly easy terms to rank for. The cost per click on Adsense is quite high for these times of financial sites.

    There's nothing real special about the site to tell you the truth, if you're good at link baiting you got something good on your hands. I'm using wordpress right now, and optimized it to my knowledge, as well as installed all the most useful wordpress plugins.
