    It is very nice that DP forum has a marketplace. I think it also needs an escrow service to facilitate deals.

    Don`t you plan to set up an escrow service on this forum?

    There are no plans, no... if people don't already use existing escrow services like escrow.com, why do you think they would be more inclined to use ours?

    IMO there may be 2 major reasons why people avoid escrow.com :

    1) Escrow.com is expansive if you make a small deal. For example if you sell an item for $100, they ask for $25. Plus you have to pay transaction fees. All this makes their service useless.

    2) Escrow.com does not cover many fields. For example, they deny Bitcoin related deals.

    If DP sets up an escrow service that will gap this bridge, it will work. At least you can open a thread where old and good reputation members of this forum will offer their escrow services for little %.

    Our escrow service would have to be more expensive because we don't do as many translations as escrow.com... You can't offer a service, do less volume and expect it to be less expensive too. Lol

    Isn't this sort of why Paypal and similar is encouraged? If there's problems, you can file a dispute, and eventually get your money back (if you have a case)?
