Escaping Google's -30 ranking filter penalty

I think that one of my websites was hit by Google's -30 ranking filter penalty. I was on the first page, and not I'm on page 4. I don't know what I did, but I would like to know how other people dealed with this problem, and how they solve it.

Was that for every keyword? If not, it is probably business as usual rather than a penalty.

 

It was for my main keyword, but also the other keywords lost rankings.

 

Care to explain what a -30 ranking filter is? I've never heard of that before.

 

One of these problem may be found;irregular page or inbound link growth, irregular or off-topic linking patterns, accessibility and usability problems, linking to Bad Neighborhoods, massive duplicate content problems

 

Never heard of a -30 ranking, Could just be normal fluctuation of serps, happens all the time. SEO isnt ever done, got to keep building links to stay on top of your keywords.

 

-30 is duplicate content filter
But i m not sure the OP has a problem with dup content

 

did you made any changes on your web site or backlinks before you get that penalty?

 

Heard of -999 not -30. Anyways I would suggest wait few more days. I have seen my keywords go on number 1/2 then slide to 5 and staying there for long time.
