My guess is they are doing this to ease the tension in the general population. Probably not going to go beyond warning shots. If the people get pissed then no army can stop them. If it goes beyond warning shots then god help us.

It's unfortunate that terrorists accept refuge amongst civilians and that some civilians welcome them. The U.S. can't stop killing terrorists because the terrorists use civilians as shields and use civilian deaths as tools for propaganda. If Pakistan has a problem with that, too bad. If Obama doesn't come out tough on this he'll lose my vote.

we already have an anti alqada strategy that we know it works. It is tried in iraq and has succeeded. why don't try that ? Petraeus is going to implement it now.

There is no point in bombing civilians. The best way to punish Pakistan would be stop the funds from America. Funds from the U.S. are not directed toward the 'war against terror' in Pakistan. The whole world knows this fact. The money goes into the pockets of politicians and a good amount of it is used to train terrorists against India. But I'm not sure if the U.S. doesn't know this or pretends not to know this fact.

Option 3: Letting the terrorists live and blend with people in the tribal border regions so they can plot and carry out another 9/11 or something worse.

Oh no; now that you've said that, a number of people are going to jump on you. People who think 9/11 is an inside job. People who think Pakistan is 'really' fighting against terrorists. People who think taking strict action against terrorists is inhuman, wrong, etc. Be prepared mate.

Taking strick actions against terrorists includes killing civilians too?? Then whats the difference between the terrorists and us/US? Both killing the civilians both should get the label of terrorists. Alqaida fighting us/US or us/US fighting Alqaida should be reported as two terrorist groups having war and in result inoccent lifes are being lost.

Sorry if my post gave you a wrong impression. I'm not for bombing civilians. But I do hold a grudge when it comes to Pakistan, as I know it's a breeding land for terrorists whose sole intention is to infiltrate India. The day Pakistan truly kicks those terrorists out, I'd be rooting for them too.

Don't you think you are little paranoid over "Pakistan infiltrating India"? Many in Pakistan blame India/RAW for blasts and terrorist acts there. Same as you blame Pakistan/ISI for the terrorist acts in India. Compare the size of two countries, their economy, their army. Why on earth would Pakistan poke the bear(or whatever your national animal is).
