Hello. While trying to register a .Ca domain with Godaddy I get the following error everytime , no matter which name I use for "Registrant Name" and what I choose on "Select the legal type that best describes you:" The following error(s) are related to the administrative contact: The administrative contact must be an individual. The system does not recognize this administrative contact's name as the name of an individual. End of error(s) related to administrative contact. Please help me ... Thanks in advanced, Tom
If you try to use your domain name as the admin contact, or something like "company admin", it will give you that error. Are you putting in a first AND last name? Also, on a side note, if I were you I would stick to a Canadian company for .ca domain name registrations. They will have more knowledge in dealing with errors like this.
canadian names? there is such a thing? .ca requires proof that you reside in canada and after the registraton, CIRA will require proof. so even if godaddy approves, you may have problems after the godaddy registration stage.
What do you mean by Canadian names? Are you inputting false data into this or other fields? If you can't register it through GoDaddy then try through a Canadian based registrar - namespro.ca, netfirms.ca, 10dollar.ca etc....
i agree with this kind of statement, which is more authoritative. you can contact the local Canadian registrar and consult with them.
If you're submitting valid information, and you are in fact Canadian, then it may just be a problem with Godaddy's interface. Like I said, stick to Canadian registrar's when registering a dot-ca domain to avoid problems like this.
but the fact is that this thread starter has has a deal with Godaddy, if changed temporarily, that will be cost matter.
AFAIK the OP has been unable to complete his registration at GoDaddy & so has not spent any money & the domain should still be available to register through another registrar.
