Hello Thanks to the great members I have a list of 900 or more free directories to submit my site to. I have been working throught the list. But several times now when I submit my information I receive the error "You site is already listed on this directory" Please submit another site. When I look at my list of sites I am just going down the list and as of yet do not beleive that I have duplicated submissions. And when I search the directory I can find no listing of my site. Is this common or are some directories linked together and share submissions? Usually I just go to next on the list. But just wanted to know if anyone had a answer for that
Yes many directories start out using database of other directories. You may also get such a message when your site is submitted, but approval is pending.
