Anyone here have access to their website error pages.

You know where you can replace the standard 404 error page with WHATEVER page you want?

If so, how will google view an error page that has content with adsense on it

    any different?

    your thoughts

    thank you in advance

It depends on your hosting service. If they allow it, you should be able to specify custom pages in the .htaccess file, like this:

    ErrorDocument 404 http://www.mysite.com/notfound.php

    Code (markup):
Some offer even an interface to do that in their control panels.

Cool. I do have access to those pages.... How will google view them?? same as the other sites pages or will it ignore certain page names

    ie.
    - notfound.php
    - www.example.com/404
    - error.html

    you get my point? :)

Make sure you have some content on your error pages so adsense can serve up relevant ads.

I have my error pages, but no adsense on them yet.

http://www.dawgebooks.com/xxx to see an error page.

Read the TOS. From Section 5: "Prohibited Uses. You shall not ... (v) display any Ad(s), Link(s), or Referral Button(s) on any error page, on any registration or "thank you" page".

No ads on those pages, folks!

That Eric is here to correct me..
I knew that somewhere in the recesses of my brain.

One day, when I am again bored here, will go back to adsense tos and this time, copy it all so I have it sitting in a folder, ready for me to read again.

    Thank you.

What not to do - put an ad directly on your ERROR pages.

What you can do - create an error page with
    1. Your home page

    2. A list of links to your highest paying adsense pages. People surfing are often distracted by new information sometimes you can grab them with random links.

    3. Forwarding from that error page may also be acceptable? But very very iffy.

Just redirect visitor to "ENTER this site" page, then when surfer click on link, he can go to page with Ads. Don't put ads on no content or "dummy" 404 Error pages (Read TOS).
