Hi there, When I am trying to access the /wp-admin/ of my website it's coming up with this error, I was wondering if someone knows how I can fix this? Warning: require(/home/loudmarketing124/public_html/burnleybeauty.co.uk/wp-includes/load.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in/home/loudmarketing124/public_html/burnleybeauty.co.uk/wp-settings.php on line 21 Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/home/loudmarketing124/public_html/burnleybeauty.co.uk/wp-includes/load.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in/home/loudmarketing124/public_html/burnleybeauty.co.uk/wp-settings.php on line 21
This error indicates that wp-settings.php file is missing from your server. PATH is : /home/loudmarketing124/public_html/burnleybeauty.co.uk/ - Update your WordPress files by downloading it from the WordPress.org - If it's not solved after performing the above step, let me know by PM. I will solve it out for you at free of cost!
How do I go about updating the WordPress files via FTP? I usually update them via the WordPress Dashboard?
1) First of all backup your WordPress files. (Backup the "burnleybeauty.co.uk" folder from Your server's root directory /home/loudmarketing124/public_html/burnleybeauty.co.uk/) 2) Now go to wordpress.org and download the latest wordpress.zip file 3) Extract it to your desktop and delete wp-config.php from that files. 4) Compress it to the .zip file and upload to the server, extract it. 5) and you're done!
Yep, sorry man, i forgot to mention that it's wp-config-sample.php. Delete it upload all fresh files to the server.
"It will be safe, only if you copy paste new files properly". In the case, If you accidentally messed up the file structure of your site, Simply revert back to the old files using your backup that you had taken in 1st step.
