Error number 651 - help me in BSNL broadband ADSL

    i am using bsnl broadband in my windows 7 PC.
    From yesterday evening,my BB connection shows error 651 while i tried to connect.

    "Error 651 - The modem (or other connecting device)
    has reported an error."

    My modem seems to be working fine.i tried ping 192.168.1.1 which works.

    any help to rectify.

    i have an idea to find whether problem related to hardware issue or operating system.
    i will try to boot system via ubuntu linux live cd without installation and connect internet.
    If the issue related to WINDOWS 7,BB will work.
    otherwise not.
    anyone help?

    Did you contact the BSNL people? Just try connecting your modem with a pc operating on windows xp so as to rule out whether the glitch is due to OS problem.

    now the issue has been solved.
    That was due to issue with win7 RC.
