Error message when updating setting

Discussion in 'Keyword Tracker' started by compar, Aug 2, 2011.

I want to add an additional website to those I track with the Keyword tracking tool. When I try to save the changes I get and error message that say the "Script URL is old, please update". I moved the script on the server and entered the new URL in the settings. I still get the error message. Can someone please help?

Well my first guess is that the script is just that (an old version) if you just moved it. Did you get it fresh from the settings page?

Thanks. I thought that was probably what the message meant, but I didn't scroll down far enough to find the current script.

Sean, another strange occurrence. All the keywords I entered give this error message from Google: "Error returned from search engine: Bad Request". and Google reports last checked as Dec 31st 1969. Bing doesn't report any problem.

The URL I'm trying to check is http://www.b-linepromotions.com/wordpress/

Sean, you can ignore this. I got a new API and everything works fine now -- very strange the previous API had worked fine for years???

Double check that your Google API key is correct? (under your settings)

I just updated the code and API because Google keywords no longer are being tracked. Now I am seeing this Error returned from search engine: Bad Request from Google searches.
The Simple API Access has 2 choices - server and browser. I checked my settings and tried both and still get the same error. Any thoughts?

Triple check your Google API Key and make sure the proper APi service is enabled under your Google API Console.
