The problem is due to your php configuration in your server, Please check your .htaccess and php configuration.

Do you have php installed? Are you using a control panel for this VPS?

whene i try to rebuild apache

Does it stop building then? What does that log state? I would try to force an update to cPanel, and then rebuild Apache if needed:

/scripts/upcp --force
