Error in installing Apache on Vista

    Hi,
    in installing Apache on Vista, I have received the following error message in the last installation step.

    Error Message:
    Installing the Apache2.2 service
    The Apache2.2 service is successfully installed.
    Testing httpd.conf ....
    Errors reported here must be corrected before the service can be started.
    httpd.exe: Could not reliabbly determinate the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
    (OS 10013)Try to access to soccket with authorizations :make_sock: unable to listen for connections on address 0.0.0.0:80
    no listening sockets available, shutting down
    Unable to open logs
    Note the errors or messages above, and press the <ESC> key to exit. 5...

    I have installed Apache using this file:

    apache_2.2.11-win32-x86-openssl-0.9.8e

    from the web site: www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.apa...binaries/win32/

    Any help will be well appreciated.

    have you finish changing some configuration stuff on its httpd.conf? Maybe you miss something... Deo

    Hi,
    thanks for the quick reply. I have not changed the httpd.conf configuration file. Mybe some change must be done ... In my documentation I didn't find a configuration step for this.
    Any suggestion will be well appreciated.

    yes, I angry with Bohra.... XAMP is all in one installer for apache, php and sql... better check this one rather than burning your mind thinking how to fix your error
