Error establishing a database connection

    I have a problem with my wordpress site. I says "Error establishing a database connection". I can't access the wp-admin panel but I can access the cpanel. I've tried using the repair db in my hosting account but it's still not working. I'm using hostgator. Here is the site:

    Cross check your wp-config.php with the database username/password.

    Site is now ok. Contacted the hostgator support and was very helpful. Thanks for the suggestions too. :)

    the best way to check is through the event viewer for the error that is occuring we can catch up the error from there and then try to resolve it
