error E1810 HDD 1 Fault

    Hi
    we have a poweredge 2950 with 2 HD SAS 500GB in raid 1, this morning gave me this error:

    error E1810 HDD 1 Fault

    can i remove that disk without switch off the server ? Or can anyone tell me what kind of procedure I must follow to replace that disk ?

    sounds like bad hdd you should be able to replace it just fine since you are raid 1
