Interesting article from Bob Cringely on Google's approach to the wireless bandwidth market - Is Google on Crack?

interesting article but i dont agree with many of his statements such as

I dont agree with this so called telecom lobbying game. Every business has a lobby and the biggest is the arms lobby in USA. Google being one of the most powerful internet firm in USA has been operating with a proper lobby backing them up. This makes no sense. His claims sounds like he didnt do proper research or he doesnt understand the meaning of "Lobby".

Secondly another claim of google wont win $10 billion auction sounds like too facist. 700Mhz is a premium frequency and you cant even imagine what you can do with it. It will one heck of a bloddy auction in US telecom/internet history, just watch out.

The big wireless carriers didn't much fear a new competitor until Apple came along with the iPhone either. Telcos, cable companies, and almost any other industry takes notice when Google steps into the room. Google demands attention like Microsoft once did.
