ePassporte? Any experiences?

I have an affiliate who only offers payment through mailed cheque, or ePassporte.

I'm considering getting an ePassporte account as it seems like something I could use. But has someone used ePassporte as an account to receive money? Are there fees?

epassporte is ok. There are fees, but depending on how much money you are receiving, its not too bad. Transferring money to a bank account can be slow.

Very good, especially if you are not in US. You'll receive a card from them to use for shopping or in ATM.

I know of a guy who uses ePassPorte to play for an MMORPG that he plays. :) He likes it, but I'm not too sure how good it is on the seller side. ;)

Yes, I am using ePassporte too and I love the instant loading of my card. I used to be getting payment via wire transfer as I am not in the US and the fees was killing me. ePassporte is great as I could retain the funds in US dollars to make purchases without losing on the exchange rates.

As for the fees, if you just maintain a virtual account, it is $5 a year. If you require a physical VISA Debit Card, there is a $35 annual fee.

For receiving funds, you pay nothing and if you use it to pay as a credit/debit card, it is free too. 25cents to send funds to another epassporte account.

But to load your epassporte account from a credit card, it is $5 per $100 of transfer.

If you use the debit card as an ATM card, it is $2 per transaction.

Have your affiliate set up a gift account for you to get you started so you do not need to go through the extensive credit check.

epassporte is the best. If you are receiving money from affiliate programs you will have no fees getting your payment. Of course they have to have epassporte. If you will have debit card you can get your money instantly at any ATM for 2$. For me it is the best.
But you should be warned. The money is in Exotic country. Sometimes money in epassporte account can be see as 0$, because of maintenance. If you will have about 5K$ they will require to send to them documents until that you have account blocked. So it is wise if you have some money on this account - withdraw it.

It's okay, though the setup process can be a pain and support is awful. The system works well though.
