    We are interested in selling our leading entertainment portal with the domain name, script and database. Website is operational since 2004. Will disclose the name to serious buyers only. Website have 220,000 active members, 13500 visitors per day and $4200-$5000 advertising revenue per month .

    It is hosted on dedicated server which costs $278 per month.

    Our asking price is $150,000. Please only serious and interested buyers contact us.

    Notice something?

    That's more than 4 years of revenue that you're selling the website for!
    Depending on the website, the price of a website is based on a 3 to 18 months revenue, but def not 50 months!

    And in that price category you should at least post more Info's, like URL, proof of sales etc...

    There is nothing wrong with selling a site based on like 4 years worth of revenue if its a large established site which is a sure shot for profit. The 7 to 9 months of profit rule only works for sites that make less than 100 per month.

    I would like to get some info about this sale. also I would imagine legal issues and copyrights may also be an issue so asking 200k for a music site is ridiculous... the norm is 10 to 24 months of revenue and 24 months usually for excellent sites.
