Enough Commission Juice or Not?

Discussion in 'ClickBank' started by viqifrench, Mar 15, 2009.

My e-book on how to make ebooks has been converting pretty good. Now, I've added a Clickbank affiliate version of the page and hope others will start referring sales for a juicy profit cut.

Is my 60% commission attractive to the Clickbank crowd?

Also, please visit the affiliate page and let me know what you think about the banners. Should I settle on just one design theme, or is the variety of choices good as is?

    Thanks!

I think you should offer support and more tools to affiliates. There would be many newbies who might be interested in working for you. But they don't know how to start

    Few things:

Give 75% commission no matter what - you will make more $ in the long run.

Spend a few bucks on some decent graphics.

Increase the price of the book - affiliates want to make $25-30 / sale on average.

Offer a FULL set of affiliate materials. See http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1263353

I agree with increasing the price. IM products go for much higher than e.g. health.

You can easily get away with a $47/$57 price tag if the product is good enough.

btw why not make the index page use the CB payment processor? I wonder if a prospect might see the url and take off the page name and go to the index and end up using Paypal and not giving any credit. I don't know how much difference this would make, just a guess.

The site doesn't show up too good in FireFox. I would also put a line or two of what the product is. I wouldn't have known what the purpose of the book was had you not mentioned here in the forum.:) Why would I want to promote it? etc etc

    Good luck!!

Wow, I was thinking the price needed to be mid-range (I have it at $24 currently) because people are buying less due to the economy. But I'm 100% confident the quality & value of the actual download is worth a lot more. In fact, one of my customers said EXACTLY that: She would have paid a lot more for what she read in my PDF.

But I'm confused about your CB "payment processor" comment... not sure exactly what that is. Is this the same as a 'cloaker'?

    Thanks for the great comment!!

    Hi Komicwords,

Here are my answers to your good questions:

    1. I can assure you my ebook is EXCELLENT - everyone has said so! You can download this FREE Bonus Sales Copy section and see for yourself:
    http://www.ebookstrategies101.com/uploads/Ebook_Immersion_-_free_copywriting_tips.pdf

    2. I doubt that I will ever have any disappointed clients. This is why I don't have a money-back guarantee. I will seriously consider adding this, since you mentioned it. But people who have ready my e-book all say they would have paid MUCH more than the asking price. That's because it's a top-quality how to make an e-book ebook.

Hope you'll join my affiliate program.

Okay, okay: I listened to Komic!

I now have addressed the missing money-back guarantee.

No one has ever wanted a refund on my ebook, but I can see that promising to make the unhappy happy with money back is needed both by potential customers and affiliates.

Thanks for challenging my thinking about this!
