enough about pakistan already, what about iran?

come on folks. pakistan isn't even in the same ballpark. surely iran is the biggest threat to world peace today. they are developing nuclear weapons and openly supporting terrorist groups including hamas and hezbolah. they are agitating the shi'ite population in southern iraq and supplying them with arms agains the coalition army. and they certainly do not have any kind of alliance with america, as was hinted at with pakistan.
most iranians living abroad profess to hate what is going on with their own government but you can bet that when the cards are down, if the west were to take action against iran, they would all turn against the west in the blink of an eye.

    Excuse me?

#1. Iran are not building nuclear weapons.

#2. Hamas and Hezbolah are NOT terrorist groups

#3. Just because they do not have an alliance with america, does that make them bad?

#4. It is because of people like you why people like BUSH and cheney are still in office, try not to beleive everything you see on FOX NEWS and have a slightly bit more common sense.

dont ever post on these forums again you clown

I detest certain acts of Hamas and Hezbollah. But in no way are they terrorist groups.

so i don't know what i am talking about?
my husband is an iranian kurd.
    i am not pro american.
    i never watch fox tv.
for your information, as a minority, my husband's family were treated so badly in iran they had to run for their lives, just because they are sunni and not shi'ite. two members of his family were hung and two went missing never to be seen again.
there are terrible crimes against humanity going on there every day.
get your facts right before accusing someone of not knowing what they are talking about.

it is quite frankly pathetic the way anyone who is anti-american jumps on any old bandwagon regardless of how bad that bandwagon is.
just because someone opposes american foreign policy it doesn't give them the right to take sides with a repressive regime.
i know for a fact what iran is like and the suffering of the minorities that live there, including the women. it is sheer hell.
and as for not having my say on this forum, i thought here unlike iran we have freedom of speech.

I agree that the Iranian government is not perfect and do abuse people but that occurs in lots of countries.

The fact is that Iran is no more a threat to world peace than Russia, China or any other country for that matter. Why do people think that because a country is not allied with the US that it is a threat to world peace?

Unfortunatly US is viewed by most people around the world as bigger threat to world peace than Iran. US was engaged one way or another in most of the wars in the world after WWII. US is almost never shy of getting her way if big money/resources/interests is/are at stake by using force if all other means don't work.
Iran would love to be a world major power with nukes, but that's no good even for them.

    agree with that.
am not pro american as i have said.
but wish people would not speak on issues they have no clue about, simply because they want to have a go at america.
iran is a repressive regime, it does commit crimes against humanity, and probably is developing nuclear weapons, and anyone who speaks in favour of the place should try living there.

So what if Iran are making nuclear weapons?

Think about it from their point of view - why can US, Russia, UK, France, India, Pakistan etc.. all have them but we cant? I dont support anyone having nukes but why should it be a different rule for some countries?

Looks like today is opposite Wednesday. Terrorists are not terrorists, good is bad, bad is good, threats by islamic counries are acceptable, defense of threats from islamic countries is bad.

    The wonderful world of delusion.

when i said that iran is the greatest threat to world peace, i meant it.
because at the moment there is no other nation so well set up to oppose the US, and so by definition the US is just as great a threat, it is the cold war all over again.
don't know why everyone is so pro iran though.
does not follow that if you are pro iran you are somehow against world domination.
why not log onto amnesty internationals website to get the real story on iran if you don't trust me.

I agree with you. Many here are anti-America. Some are not honest enough to directly admit it, but they are. They know and those that are not anti-America know it. With that "anti" sentiment, means that logic goes out the window and suddenly support for brutal regimes and calls for genocide are suddenly not such a bad thing, in their mind.

    It's a mental disorder.

yes, that certainly seems to be the case.
perhaps they will be singing the praises of northern korea next.
    any old regime will do.
so childish and actually quite dangerous.
being anti american doesn't mean being anti human rights.

Who are you to ask anyone to post or not to post?
Mind the language and get a life.

Who are you? Some kind of moral police?
Hamas and Hezbollah both are not less than a terrorist group.
