My girlfriend will be working in Barcelona for half a year and needs a Spanish version of her CV. It's 2 A4's long, nothing too complicated. If you prefer Dutch to Spanish, we can arrange a Dutch version (English to Spanish preferred). What you get back for it? Depends on whether you are experienced with above-average importance translations in those languages. We can get you a blog post on 2 separate Blogger hosted blogs on a family friendly topic of your choice with links. Small PayPal payments can be done too. I can run some co-op ads if you want. Or we can write you some content in return (English preferred, Dutch optionally). Your pick. If you want, you can make it a free favour as well Just post what you want in return. ETA We kind of need it fairly promptly. If you can deliver early next week, that would be great. If your choice of compensation requires some effort from our part, you can trust I won't screw you over, you will get what you deserve even if it's after you did your part. If you're interested please post your relevant skills summary here and what you want as compo. Or PM. Maybe there could be more stuff for you to do if you perform well.
Note the 'above average' translation experience sentence... But good point, we will have it read by another Spanish person just in case someone did decide to do a Mickey F. Mouse online translation job. Needless to say, I don't want "A Grade at Human Resource Management" to translate into the Spanish equivalent of "Grade C at inhumanely outsourcing managers" or whatever.
One of the guys at work is being taught Spanish at the moment, I'll ask his teacher and get back to you (I think she's in today).
Let me know if you are still looking. I can't do it myself but I can pass the CV in English to a Spanish English teacher here in Tenerife. (does that make sense?). She owes me a bit of a favour anyway so I doubt she'd charge anyhting at all.
Sorry to say I've just learnt our salesman is learning French first not Spanish, so can't help I'm afraid.
Haha, Spanish, French, it's all Double Dutch or Greek to you. I'll leave this for a bit to see if anyone can do it directly, if not I'll contact e10. Thanks!
I'm native Spanish speaker. I can do that translation for you if you are still looking for help. PM me if you are interested!! Experienced on translations of course!!
Gracias! e10 is pulling some strings to see if it can be done soon. Hwang, how fast can you do it? The CV/Curriculum part is pretty light on translatable text (a lot of it names, school names, company names etc.) - the motivation/covering letter a couple of paragraphs.
I may have somebody else who can do it, if you email it to me I'll pass it on. It's a friend of a friend though so I wouldn't rely on it but could be useful for a comparison.
