I see what you are saying, I was considering using the correct tense part of proper English grammar.

Do you work with an editor? A personal editor or coach can be quite helpful. Good luck - you'll get there!

I don't have editor as human or editor as software. I have several books still saved from school. For my opinion the one which comes the most close to the solution is also the oldest one. It is showing some kind of rules such as:

''If using present perfect tense in first part of sentence then use past tense in this second part of sentence''.

Constructing just a sentence or two in proper English grammar isn't too hard for me (unfortunately the book is showing only one or maximum two sentence examples). When I have to write longer article (no matter how many words - few pages with few paragraphs or entire book) then I quickly get confused from aspect of tenses and this problem has been occuring for ages.

Because when I tried it, it couldn't deal with even very simple sentence constructions (for example those using a clause as a subject for a later verb). They may have improved it for all I know. All I can offer is my own experience of these systems because frankly, English *is* my business. If you want to see how bad the current state of these systems is, all except grammarly offer a free web interface. For example, go to

    http://www.gingersoftware.com/grammarcheck/

and try a few sentences such as:-

Can you tell what are wrong with this picture?
A man who loves, likes and trusts people are guaranteed happiness.

It can't spot the errors in either of them, so it's basically worthless. It is better than grammarly though. And that, in my book, makes grammarly expensive. After all, $20 a month for something that doesn't work can hardly be described as 'a bargain'.

Any kind of ''automated'' tool won't do accurately grammar tenses check. So its better to type correct English tense on my own at the start. Anyway, still looking for an answer.

So ... you don't want computer help. You don't want to read and learn from a book. Er.... OK, your only option is to go live in an english town, get a job in an english company, socialise with english people, and learn some &uc&n% English.

If you have some free time you may consider reading some basic grammar rules first and than try reading some literature books that you like,it is pleasent and also useful.Reading grammar books may get boring in time and it's also kind of useless because there is a lot of information that will eventually annoy you and you will forget it very easily.Of ourse the books have to be written in modern english,do not try reading Shakespeare;)

I sometimes have to spend a little time, maybe a few seconds, deciding whether to use is or are in a sentence - and English is my mother language.
The first thing I do is decide what the subject of the sentence is.
The second thing I do is decide whether the subject is a singular or a plural word.
    For example.
Decide what the subject of the sentence is.
In this case, it's the word 'picture.'
Picture is singular, so you would normally use 'is.'
    As above.
The subject of the sentence is a man, which is singular, so use the word 'is.'

I would suggest going through the British council online grammar guides and lessons. Purdue owl is a great place to learn English grammar as well. Wish you luck in this!

hey, i'd advice you to work separately a few lessons with tutor and then just practice and everything will be o'k. But tutor is necessary. He/She will exactly explain you what you don't understand with tense forms. After just hard work!

    Your point is????

Everyone knows how easily humans use language, and how hard it is for machines. Which was MY point.

Take an online English grammar course 101, like you would in college. I don't know if there are any free ones. Look.

Honestly, your grammar is not that bad, do a lot of reading and it will eventually get better. My best converting copy has been grammatically incorrect copy, if people think you are an English professor and better then they are, THEY WON'T BUY. Make them feel that they are better then you but don't wr1t3 l1k th1$ or other goofy crap and they will do what you want.

    Why won't it help?

It sounds like you want it happen overnight. You need to practice the language, read, write etc. Just because you know the rules, doesn't mean you can correctly put them into practice. Language learning takes time (a lot of time)

    Ah. That explains a lot.

BTW, your English is pretty good, except for your habit of not following a period with a space or carriage return. It's certainly better than my French, and I lived there for 5 years.
