Agree. Whilst just seeing Ronaldo's cry baby head makes me cringe, and he IS a wanker, he's got more brains than Wazza Fatboy Rooney. Footy isn't played with golden feet only. There's thinking involved. Something Wayne, despite having plenty of space and that big head, hasn't developed enough yet. It's pretty simple; you don't touch other players with your hands. You don't push them, you're asking for trouble and with it, wasting your team and country's chance of beating a bad Portugal and progressing.

England should have resolved this during regular time, Portugal was unconvincing. They were all over the place, at one stage putting Ronaldo at the striker position. It was a mess. Not saying England were good by the way.

Hargreaves was shit hot, Gerrard should have ran like he did. Stevie looked knackered. I also agree he should have taken off Lamps and put Crouch on. Now we had no one from left to service him. Lennon is the bollocks though!

All in all, Portugal were wiser, not better. It was a pretty poor show form both sides.

Glad Sven is gone now and glad Becks gave up captaincy. Time for JT to stand up and take control. Beckham was on his ass again way too much. He's no captain. Terry is. Axe the old players, Neville can go as well. I hope Macca builds a new team without those who take their place for granted.

Good luck to Portugal. Out of the 4 teams left, I don't know who to support now. I'm leaning towards Germany but then again, I am Dutch :) Don't like the French, don't like the Azzuro. I just hope we get some good football because since the start of the knock out stages, it's been pretty poor IMO.

I ignored it, it's rubbish. It's not justice. If it justice then the smug git Ronaldo would have been sent off for his headbut before the game even started. If it was justice then the referee would have given yellow cards to the Portuguese for all the diving and getting players booked antics as FIFA promised before the tournament. If it was justice then Rooney would have had a free kick for the challenges of the Portuguese players before the stamp. He should have fallen over, feigned injury, the rest of the English team should have run to the referee waiving imaginary yellow cards in the air.

Except we don't do that, maybe we should as it seems to cost us at the big games.

Yes, for the handball the English players appealed for a penalty, but there's a BIG difference between appealing and trying to get a player booked or sent off.

Appealing for a penalty is COMPLETELY different from trying to get somebody taken out of the game. You know that too, you just won't admit it :)

    Of course it is mate!
With a penalty you can change the result of the game. There's like 95% chance of scoring...With Ricardo probably less! :D
With 10 players you don't change the result! ;)

You're the one that can't admit it...;) I see the game from a neutral point of view, you look like the lousy british media...;)

    No mate...
I've valid arguments, i can have my own opinion about the game.
You simply write what the british press did, you forget the rest of the game and what happened.
You don't admit english players try to influence the referee at the Nuno Valente hand penalty and that's cheating but cause their english...It's ok for you. Your not much of a sport fan as far as i can see.
I can admit Ronaldo's diving, you don't admit the english players ones.

Every neutral person that will read our posts will come to one simple conclusion:
    I'm neutral, you're not...;)

Manager was sacked beforehand, no surprise there. Beckham failed to inspire the team further than the Quarter Finals on several occasions. He's too prone to gravity, we need someone like John Terry who's a real presence ON the pitch - we don't need a puppet OFF the pitch.

Beckam will be far better as a squad member than as a captain in the future. At least then the manager can drop him if he thinks anybody (Lennon) is a better player.

Lets not forget beckham has played (and scored) in 3 world cups now.

From what I've heard, the UK has been giving him a very hard time for a while. Not a smart thing to do IMO. Not as long as he is coaching your national team.
