I'd like to see Bent get a shot. I'd love to see England play a bit the Arenal. Put in some pacy players like Wright Phillips, Lennon, Bent and Walcott who can get in behind defences.

That is the kind of play I'd like to see.Players dodging and weaving past defenders, some beautiful 1-2's, some sublime passing etc. Makes football truly the "beautiful game". Arsenal's style of play is attractive and so is Brazil's. This kind of football may not always win you matches, but it sure does win lots of hearts.:)

Exactly, if we played like that I wouldn't give a toss about losing. I'd rather that than the dross we've been served up with for the last few years.

Agree with ya Matt. It is one of the reasons I hate Cattenacio, however effective it is:)

I think we need a balance. We do have exciting players that we should use but lets face it however beautiful the game is if we lose constantly we'd still want the managers head. Remember Ossie Ardiles and Spurs beautiful football? He didnt last long as manager did he?

Well, whatever result that English have, I still prefer Steve Mclaren coaching than Sven Goran Erriksson. The pace is fast and full of spirit. Sven made English playing very slow and boring.
