What a load of cr*p! Is it only me that thinks the manager is out of his depth? Furthermore, drop Rooney, Robinson and Carrick!

    From fustrated England fan!

Drop Rooney, yes but Robinson is a class act and so is Carrick. No need for them to go. And no need to panic either. Do we really expect them to win every match? Remember this is the bunch of failures who had a disaster World Cup. Croatia is one of the better European sides so why do all these people freak out? We're still joint top of the table and have all the right cards to play and win.

So what we lose a difficult match.

I actually think that Rooney is the only real class act among that 3 but his confidence is low at the moment. He is better of playing him in the supersub role. Carrick imho is overated. Robinson makes too many mistakes lately. I think the other teams in the group will now have plenty of confidence in their ability to exploit our weaknesses - It can only be an uphill struggle now. I think England fans should brace themselves for a Euro without England but with Scotland and even Northern Ireland

Robinson was unlucky. He made a lot of great saves before and after the mistake. When you're a kid you always get taught always to pass back to the sides of the goal for precisely that reason, so if anyone is to blame it's Neville.

I wish we'd stop picking players on reputation rather than form, Lampard needs to be dropped for a while to shake him up, Gerrard should take his spot in midfield, it's crazy playing your pest player out of position to accomodate an average one. Carrick simply isn't good enough and looked out of his depth, injuries to class playes also took their toll.

Hopefully this'll be the England line-up for the Israel game in 5 months time,

    Robinson
    Neville - Ferdinand - Terry - Cole
    Lennon - Gerrard - Hargeaves - Cole
    Rooney/Owen - Crouch

Even Terry is debatable for me, I really rate King and it was a shame he was injured also last night.

I agree with what you guys already said, the media is hounding Robinson this morning and he was probabally our best player yesterday. Wasn't even his fault.
Hope Lampard picks up again, I ain't seen him play anything like his best for nearly a year.

Yep, I'd have to agree, because he's now captain it'll be hard to drop him. It'll be interesting to see what happens if King continues to improve and pushes him all the way.

It was Terry that was at fault for the first goal yesterday, he was caught completely flat footed on the header.

It is rarely seen that a player at a big club (in England) being replaced by someone at a mid-table club.... the players in the table-topper teams are always preferrred.

Ideal example - Lampard, if he was playing for anyone else except Chelsea(or another BIG club) and would have performed so badly on a consistent basis(atleast the last 10-15 matches) he would have been replaced by now!

Anyways, by the time we play the next match it'll be a whole different outlook. We'll have played the bigger part of the season, have new injuries and old ones healed. There may be new stars on the horizon too - maybe someone like Bent nets 20 goals in the meanwhile.

Holland up next, see what my home country can do against the lads.

Kuyt's wicked though. More versatile that Ruud but yes, Ruud is a legend in his own right. I'd bring him and put him on the bench as an option.
