EnergyDrink.net - Want Opinions

I've been getting a lot of inquiries for this domain name. Can anyone give me a solid analysis/value of the domain?

If not, what is the best source for a domain appraisal?

Is Sedo still the best place to sell it, should I decide to go that route?

 

I guess a drinks company whats to use it for promotion? or developing a site about drinks?. Its hard to say, $xxx

 

That's a tough one. On the surface it's a good solid keyword domain, even with the .net. I think from a corp, you could get $xxx-$xxxx for it, however, it's tough to decipher who the actual buyer is since companies use brokers to avoid getting fleeced.

A domain broker, or small time buyer won't give you that much for it, so your best bet (IMO) is to post it on a site like SEDO, set your price and hold firm until a good offer comes along.

A little development and SEO could go a long way to help with the value, especially if you can get it to the top of the SERP's.You may add an extra $500 or more to the sale value.

If you type in "Energy Drink", all the main players are listed first page, just under Wikipedia (which really pisses me off). If you could put, even just a place holder, blog, or landing page on it, and link the hell out of it to place at least half way up..it will be worth more.

If you sell it as is, you will gt the least amount for it. This domain is worth spending money on a great designed website or blog to boost the value considerably. Domain sales are always a crap shoot, but if you spend money on this one, you should either make it back on resale, or generate income from the site if you do it right.

 

Hard to put an enduser price on it, but to a reseller I reckon $2-3k.

I would go with low to mid 3 figures, put some work into it maybe find some affiliates and become an energy drink portal?

 

Not a bad idea. I've been offered well into the five figures recently. I'll get a site developed and eventually it'll be much more. Thanks everyone.

Nice name, I would definitely be trying to sell it to an enduser if I were you. I would say anything from Mid $xxx for a reseller all the way to Low - Mid $x,xxx for an enduser

$x,xxx for sure, possibly higher. It's a hot topic, and an exact keyword.

 

Sedo is really good place to get right offers. Alternatively you can create any affiliate program site using this domain name.

 

Thanks for the comments. However, what sort of energy drink pays affiliate commissions? Not really sure there exists such as thing as nobody sells it online.....unless I misunderstood you?

I'm thinking of going the "review site" way.....

Basically putting up all the different energy drinks and making reviews. Then again, other than traffic, I'm not sure there is much value in doing that. it's not like that niche gets good PPC traffic for AdSense.

I'm not desperate for cash. In fact, I am interested in developing the domain more than anything.

 

I doubt you can turn it into an affiliate store. Have you parked it? If so, how is it doing in parking?
