Endorsement Of An Adsense Check?

My wife received her first Adsense check this month and wants me to deposit it into my bank account (she doesn't have a bank account).

Is it possible to endorse an Adsense check into someone elses name?

On the back of the check where you would normally do the endorsement it says "FOR DEPOSIT ONLY FOR ACCOUNT OF NAMED PAYEE".

Does that mean it has to be deposited into an account in her name or can she sign it over to me and put it in my account?

I'm in the USA if that helps any.

I don't think you can do that. In India it is Strictly only for the Account Payee.
I'm sure this must the case in USA as well.

I don't think that will do.
Its Account Payee Check only and the Account Creation date should be prior of the issuing date of the check.

Yes you CANNOT endorse a check for someone else and put it into your bank account. It is illegal in almost every country around the world. She can easily open a bank account even a small savings account and then deposit it which is what I would do just to have your money somewhere safe and even you can do a joint account with both you names and she can still add checks to it in her name as well as yours.

Actually it should be possible for her to sign it over to you. Call your bank and ask them how to do it. It may involve going into your bank together and your wife endorsing the check over to you in the teller's presence.
