That is just a part of a marketing strategy from that movie A great way to attract people to watch for it!!
When galileo said that earth was round, nobody believed it. when does people believe in something until it happens? i am sorry i am just non-believer in those things, just i am scared about the future.
Nothing will happen on that day, I hope. And people should worry about real threats like global warming and such.
Since i do believe its going to end, might as well give you the secret I have been hiding all these years how I make my millions online. No sense in keeping it from you guys anymore. Enjoy it and make a killing before you die.. regards, Mr. F. Click Here: http://alturl.com/be6c
No one really knows but there is no doubt global warming is REAL. There is a 1-hour film on Youtube that explains it. It's free because they want to get the word out. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqxENMKaeCU It's actually quite depressing.. But educational It says some pretty scary facts such as the polar icecap is 40% smaller than it was 40 years ago! That’s 1% every year.
We should not be worried and wait for 2012 to watch world crashing. We should live our life happily and forget what will happen as even if it happens, it will be a matter of seconds. So, for just few seconds of pain, don't live life painfully.
The possible destruction of the planet around 2012 is actually rooted in current scientific speculation. See Nemesis Star: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemesis_(star) Some scientists have speculated that mass extinctions in the past like the dinosaurs could have been caused by changes in the alignment of a dwarf star hidden behind our sun and that the ancient maya were aware of this star. If we had all the mayan codexes (or written texts) it is possible that the maya wrote something on it. But the spanish priests burned the vast majority of mayan texts. The mayans were pretty accurate in predicting astronomical events so scientists are trying to figure out what the mayan were actually referring to in the few mayan texts that exist.
Congrats to whoever made and spread this hoax, you've successfully. In Indonesia, this hoax is being a hot gossip (supported by a damn old woman forecaster). Well, only fool people who believes that world will be ended in 2012. In fact, the world can be ended and over at any time, or even tomorrow
Hi Ryan, I'm Ryan too, Anyway, i agree with you, OP watch too many horror movies Get something to laugh with, such as Mr. Bean
If it's real, then one should spend the remaining precious time more fruitfully and happily rather than worrying about the doomsday.
You might call me dumb or anything you want but I think something's gonna happen.... I don't believe it's gonna be the end of the world but it might be the last day we could save the planet from the global warming or something... I don't know really...
THANK YOU! Common sense! Nasa says the world will not end in 2012: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33911941/ns/technology_and_science-science/ And that's a credible source, NBC..it's not "Wikipedia" or any of that stuff. There you go, guys.
Words and symbols have certains powers. We can all say that nothing is going to happen in 2012. And yet here we are writing about 2012. We all clicked to read about this thread. And some of us even spent a few seconds posting a reply. And who went to see the movie? Do you think it will be a blockbuster? Why? That does not mean the world will end. There's not even a consensus about what the end of the calendar meant to the Maya civilization. There's going to be a gallatic alignment. But it happens every 26000 years. It has happened before and will happen again. Somethings could change. A provocative study, that was announced in the United Nations, will release it's conclusions in 2012. It could change the world and especially that way we look at it. So, 2012 could be the end of an era and the beggining of something new.
I doubt anything will happen, other than the astronomical alignment, which i strongly doubt will cause a polar shift. Just in case though, I will stay away from oceans... in case of tidal waves. Drowning is on the top of my least favorable death scenarios list.
