End of world in 2012?

i am not sure how many of you have seen history channel, and it looks real and got myself freaked out! They talked about mayans and many theories on pole shift, solar flares and so on..

what do you think?
Is 2012 end of the world or many call "doomsday".

I heard one of the popular quotes somewhere that "Being alive and living everyday in itself a miracle". Anyway i have plans to live everyday to the fullest of joy.

 

it is just a galactic alignment and world is definitely not coming to an end.

The world ends when you die , 'cos till then you'll never know how it's moving or still moving or not....

 

I don't think the world is going to end in 2012. But it sells movie tickets I bet !

I think there going to be a solar storm and not end of the world. By the way you can go to YouTube to watch that history channel film if you are interested.

 

lol, it's not going to end. The myan decendents who follow the calendar closely aren't even concerned. Why should we be?

no it wont happen it will just be like every other hocus pocus thing like the 2000 computer bug or that aliens were meant to last on that october.

The world wont be destroyed or completely returns to ice age or something..... but in future it would happen due to over pollution which is created by Humans ourself.......

 

I should have wrote a book and cashed in on the fear also. The planets are not all lining up. A couple will be close but not all of them. Its a runaway story. The end of the mayan calendar just means a new cycle begins. Thats all. Hopefully with people smart enough to realize nothing is going to happen. I've personally been inside the pyramid at chichen itza when it was still open to the public. There is a statue of a dog like creature inside of it. Don't go running up your credit cards thinking its all over. The only real threat we have is asteriods. They are actively looking for the "planet killers" The ones the size that hit Russia in the 50's are too small to track.
