End of Article Directories? What you think?

    Hi,
I have launched a new article directory last month. I am getting some traffic and it is still PR 0. Everything is okay. But after the Panda algorithm I am hopeless about its future. It is almost impossible to get unique articles for a directory which is PR 0.People prefer submitting articles to high PR directories which is obvious. At the same time it is not possible for me too to publish that many articles as currently I am having more than 150 categories. So I have to deal with already posted articles if I want to carry on with it. I do not know if I build back links constantly will it work or not as I suppose Google do not offer high PR to directories. I am not expecting any miracle to happen yet I must have some idea whether it will last or not. I also fear that someday Google may penalize for duplicate content. What you think?
    Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you should not choose article directory as a theme.

While the latest Google update did hit directories hard, it was deservedly so. The quality of material on ezinearticles.com for example, had descended into absolute badly-spun-shit. They've since started to pull their socks up, as far as I ca see, so it may be premature to call the death of directories.

Why not start a forum instead? :) A general forum, or a niche forum.
