Hi Everyone, Fist off, I hope I use the correct forum for my question, it is my 1st post. I read in many of the online pay per click advertising companies such as Adsense that encouraging click is not allowed, quote: Encouraging clicks Publishers may not ask others to click their ads or use deceptive implementation methods to obtain clicks. This includes, but is not limited to, offering compensation to users for viewing ads or performing searches, promising to raise money for third parties for such behavior or placing images next to individual ads. Does anyone know of a company that would allow this? If the hits are unique why would this be an issue for companies? I would like to get a better understanding why many companies have this rule. Thanks for any advise on this subject, Kim
Why would a company want to pay for clicks that are not from people actually interested in the advertised product or service, but instead are clicking for some other reason... to help the website owner, to gain something themselves. It would encourage tons of worthless clicks to advertisers from uninterested people that they would still have to pay for. Companies do not just want "hits" they are looking to drive actual business. Incentivized clicks are a far cry from natural clicks from interested viewers.
