I'm considering implementing some steps described on explorerdestroyer.com. Is it okay to encourage visitors to download firefox with the google toolbar as suggested on the website mentioned above?

I would be very careful before going down the road of "encouraging people to click anything" - whether your site or someone elses site - this is definately against the google TOS and you stand a good chance of having your account deleted, that is if Google find out about it

My suggestion is - why bother with all manner of tricks people try to inflate their google revenue. Its better to simply add great content to your site and get it listed, develop your email list, post up articles to the directories etc. Then you will get clicks on your ads anyway

Why bother with the various clever tricks please pull??
    Content will always get clicks!!

I do very well on FF referrals by encouraging users to USE firefox.. not by encouraging them to DOWNLOAD Firefox.. using IEDestroyer to show one thing to IE users, and something more useful to FF users is fine.. but you have be very careful not to 'incite' clicks, dont tell them to "click the button to download" - you have to treat the referal the same as any ad .. talking about how wonderful FF is, giving reasons why it's better than IE, etc, is fine..
just be careful and you should be fine.. READ those terms of service and policies (as i've done, 100 times) to be sure you arent pushing anything to far or outright breaking them.. and of course, IF in doubt, send the question to adsense support (like i did.. with screen shots)
