eMiniMalls Installed - 1792 impressions and 4 clicks?

I am a little bit confused here. I just installed eMiniMalls on www.boardingscene.com and I just put them where I could fit them in. I got back may report for my second day and it read 1792 impressions and 4 clicks, which earned me $0.32.

What am I doing wrong? Maybe its me, but should I be making alot more than that?

Is it my ad placements or what? I get about 400-500 uniques a day and I just feel I should at least be able to pay for my server with the money form ads.

Here is a screenshot of my stats from yesterday and my first day using eMiniMalls. I only earned $0.60 for both these days together.

Not sure your site but I know this...mini-malls work best on product-oriented web sites. If you have a page that talks about the new iPod, a mini-mall ad is good. If you have a page on cheap vacation rentals with an iPod mini-mall ad, don't expect any clicks.

The ad really needs to target what that PAGE is about.

This mean I got one click for every 448 impressions. This just isnt right, something has got to be wrong.

Sometimes that happens, I have some sites that I use adsense, and I get 5k impressions, and 1 click, not going of topic , but maybe the visitors just arent interested in the emall products....

You should try testing out different methods and ad placements..

Try logging into your account and setup a Chitika code using other keywords than surfboards..Try doing some other keywords which are a bit distantly related to your topic?

maybe your target visitors are underage and probably can't buy it

Or maybe you should move your advertisement and make a 468x60 banner in between the posts or before them on your home page

Probably because people are too young, most are 13-18. Still kids can dream right? I get paid for clicks not sales.

I have 32,000 impressions in a day, got 18 clicks. other programs i can get up to 70-90 clicks a day. but in chitika i can target keywords, where as other sites they serve you crappy paying ads .01-.05$. i'm still looking for a decent keyword, it'd be easier if chitika updated more than 1x a day. if anyone knows one that pays at least $1/click telllll mee pleaase :]

IMO you can try having the ads right in "Boarding Scene" box - and just below
"Welcome to the Skateboard, Snowboard, Surf - Boarding Scene forums."

It's probably because of the products that are featured in your minimalls. Some items, such as Plasma TVs, Desktops, laptops, earn more per click than do others, such as video games.

When you say product oriented, do you mean that the site should be selling some products only? My site is baby related wesbite and I have selected the category as kids toys, which I think goes with the site.

Are you saying that eMinimalls does not work well for other sites?

    Thanks.

The site doesn't necessarily have to be selling products. As long as it's based around that product, it's okay. I'm not sure whether your baby related website would work well with Chitika or not, unless it's for moms looking for kids' toys, or something like that.

usually you have to try it out for a month for everything to settle down

Chikita are really picky with sites and wont accept alot for general reasons.
